Our Chrismon Tree

One of our favorite traditions at St. James is decorating our annual Chrismon Tree. Members and friends usually gather on the first weekend of Advent for the annual "Hanging of the Greens" and to celebrate dinner. St. James is proud to say that they were the first church in Glynn county to bring this new tradition to the area, thanks to the late Lillie Mae Olsen. Symbols reflecting Christ's life and ministry are hung on the tree as decorations to help us remember the true meaning of the Christmas season.
